Oreo Bon Bons Recipe
Total Time: 24 minutes
Is this picture perfect?? NOO, definitely not. I’m proud of these because my 4 year old daughter helped me & she couldn’t be happier with the end result.
Oreo Bon Bons
Prep Time: 24 minutes

Ingredients:
-
1 Oreos package of your choice (regular size, not family size) **I used mint, regular, & dark chocolate Oreos to show you & split recipe into thirds for 3 separate varieties
-
8 ozs package cream cheese (softened)
-
16 ozs baking chocolate
Directions:
-
Place a cookie sheet in the freezer to chill.
-
HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a food processor to crush oreos (can finish in 2 batches) if you do not have a food processor you can either do multiple batches in the blender or get a heavy duty Ziploc bag and whack the crap out of it with a rolling pin. Your Oreos should come out like fine black powder consistency.
-
Combine cream cheese & Oreo crumbles. I used my hands and mixed it like it was play-doh & found that to be great, but you do you-you can mix with a heavy duty spatula.
-
Once Oreo crumble & cream cheese is mixed thoroughly into a nice squishy ball, make tiny little balls! (About 1 tablespoon size balls). HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you freeze little balls prior to dipping in chocolate. Set them in the freezer right now while I walk you through melting chocolate ;)
-
Boil water in medium sized pot on medium-high heat. Set a glass bowl over water to slowly melt chocolate. Add a tablespoon of butter or coconut oil in with chocolate. Watch melting chocolate & stir occasionally to avoid burning it!
-
Grab your balls (haha!) from the freezer & get to dipping! It’s a fun, messy process-use either a wooden skewer stick OR a fork to dip into chocolate & let them harden on a silicone baking mat or parchment paper on the chilled baking pan. Add sprinkles immediately. Don’t worry about storing these in fridge, there won’t be any leftover, nom nom nom.
-
**Add food coloring to melted white chocolate or colored sprinkles for festive occasions. (Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, 4th of July, Christmas, etc.) get crazy with it!
