Meatloaf Recipe

I hated meatloaf. I tried this & I have now changed my opinion on meatloaf. I am a born-again meatloaf eater. Savory, flavorful, meat in your mouth.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 egg

  • 1 small/medium onion, finely diced (I used purple)

  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs (did I buy bread crumbs? hell nah, I got about 2 pieces of bread, toasted them, shoved them in a blender, and boom-1 cup bread crumbs)

  • 1 cup milk

  • salt & pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsps brown sugar

  • 2 tbsps mustard

  • 1/3 cup ketchup

Directions:

  1. Oven to 350!

  2. In large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, 1 cup milk, & 1 cup bread crumbs. Season w/ salt'n'pepper to your tastebuds & place in a lightly greased loaf pan, help the loaf out and gently squeeze into a loaf shape.

  3. In a small bowl, combine 2 T brown sugar, 2 T mustard, and ⅓ c ketchup. Mix well & pour over meatloaf.

  4. Bake @ 350 degree for 1 hour.
