Christmas Tree Pizza Recipe
I’m pretty lame with holiday traditions, but you’ll feel pretty cool with your kids if you make this for the holidays. This is one dinner the kids are allowed to help me make & they love it. We make it Christmas eve & watch a Christmas movie. Make a star, a wreath, a snowman, get creative!
Christmas Tree Pizza
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
-
36 count frozen rolls (Rhodes rolls yeast dinner rolls=fantastic)
-
32 ozs mozz cheese (1 block)
-
Toppings to your hearts desire (pepperoni, olives, chicken)
Directions:
-
Thaw the rolls ASAP. If you’re impatient like me, DEFROST them in microwave. *Make sure you don’t overthaw!
-
Cut the cheese (hehe!) into 9 section slices, then cut each slice into 4 little blocks-that way you have equal cheese cubes to dough.
-
Once dough has risen, flatten a dough ball, place cheese cube & toppings onto flat dough, then encase toppings & cheese by pinching dough over it making it into a ball again. I recommend 2-3 pepperoni w/ each cheese cube. *Pinch ‘em tight so you don't have cheese oozing out everywhere. Continue for each dough ball.
-
Place the dough balls into a fun design. **If you’re going for the tree, start w/ one dough ball as the trunk, then start the base of tree with 7, then 6 dough balls, then 5,4,3,2,1 dough balls & cut the last dough ball in thirds to make a resemblance of a star. That equals 30 my friends. So you will have 6 left over. Math is fun!
-
Bake @ 350 for 15-20 minutes on a silicone mat on baking pan. *watch for golden brown tops=perfection. For extra fancy-ness, get a stick of butter & “glaze” the tops. Add Parmesan cheese & freeze dried chives as garnishes.
